Cooling System Maintenance
Why Service My Cooling System?
-
Anti-freeze is not only designed to protect the engine from freezing it also provides rust protection and lubrication for pump seals. When these rust inhibitors and lubricants break down, the engine block is prone to corrosion.
- Scale, rust and sludge will build up in the radiator and reduce system performance. Eventually system failure.
- In vehicles using Dex-Cool anti-freeze even though the freeze protection is rated for 100k miles, it is still prone to the same breakdown of the rust inhibitors and lubricants of regular anti-freeze.
Service Description
- ALL SERVICES DONE BY MACHINE
- STEP 1 - VPS Radiator Super Flush is added and circulated through the cooling system to remove rust, scale, and residue that can not be removed by exchanging the coolant alone.
- STEP 2 - Add Valvoline MaxLife Antifreeze/Coolant. This antifreeze is developed to work with all automobiles and light duty trucks. It's the only antifreeze that contains alugard plus (special additive that allows different antifreeze chemistries to work together), protects against corrosion, helps protect against cold weather freeze-ups and hot weather boil-overs, and has proven long life formula for higher mileage vehicles.
- STEP 3 - VPS Water Pump Lubricant & Protector is added to new coolant. This will help to protect against rust & corrosion, lubricate the water pump, prevent deposits that boil over, prevent clogging, and prevent over heating.
